Howard Moody

I find inspiration in many places, flowers, seed pods, the effects of weather and erosion, even the lines left by a supermarket trolley on a wet day can provide me with shapes, patterns and textures.

Rarely do I have a set plan preferring to let the work develop spontaneously using form and surface decoration to enhance the warm and tactile nature of wood.

Howard Moody has been turning and carving wood for sixteen years. He lives and works on the Roseland Peninsular in Cornwall.
