Diana Wayne's Bio

Since retiring from teaching in London and Cornwall, my art has been created for myself, but there is always the hope that others will also appreciate it.

Higher Education courses led to creating and exhibiting, mainly in Cornwall, including membership of Cornwall Crafts Association.

In 2005, I was the artist who represented Cornwall at the Interceltic Festival in Brittany, with a series of large figurative paintings.

A Masters degree in Illustration: Authorial Practice at Falmouth University, finished with an installation of 89 altered books, telling the life story of my grandmother.

Throughout this time, I have kept my love for etching and I enjoy exploring its possibilities.

Recently, along with my husband, I have been running galleries, including our own, in Penzance – a large but enjoyable distraction from personal creativity.  Retirement again – ah, but an artist never retires!
