Charlotte is the designer and jeweller behind Fairlight Designs . She has always had a strong passion for design, since studying Art and Design full-time at college she has dedicated both academic and personal time to design. After finishing college she started studying at Bath Spa University in Textile Design with a major in Print Design and minor in Embroidery, here her love for colour and bold designs really took flight. All her designs featured hand painted motifs and art-deco inspired patterns, in her final year she discovered her love for collage when designing and layering patterns ! This specific technique she implements in her jewellery design work now, with sample designs created with hand-painted watercolour paintings and scrap paper collages.
After graduating from Bath Spa , she decided on a limb to join the Silversmithing class being held in Penzance Art School as a creative class to do in her free time, little did she know that would be the beginning of what was come.
Fairlight Design is a complete amalgamation of her love for colour and texture, paired with the constant inspiration of the gorgeous natural landscape that surrounds us here in Penwith to create a truly unique collection of work.
