Elinor Lamond

Ceramics, Jewellery, Sculpture

Graduating from Kingston College of Art with a BA Hons Degree in Fashion Design, Elinor Lamond worked for several design and retail companies before striking out on her own.

After eight years of running her own shoe design business, Elinor grew disillusioned with the fashion industry and decided to pursue her abiding interest in ceramics. She started making and selling her own work while at Liberty, Regent Street, where she was employed initially on the shop floor and later as buyer for the British Craft Room and the Card & Wrap Department.

Elinor began working for Cornwall Crafts shortly after her move to Cornwall. She is now manager at Trelissick Gallery, as well as CCA administrator and exhibition organiser.

Elinor’s current work – handmade ceramic beads made in white earthenware and porcelain in a wide array of shapes and colours, ingeniously linked to create a collection of unique and eye-catching jewellery – vividly demonstrates her individual and imaginative approach to her craft. When time allows Elinor also makes quirky porcelain articulated figures. These are usually in response to themed and invited exhibitions.

Elinor’s work can also been bought from her Etsy Shop. etsy.com/uk/shop/ElinorLamondDesigns
