Heather designs and makes coastal countryside and other influenced contemporary glass. She fuses, leads and copper foils, sand blasts and paints her glass with traditional materials which have been used for centuries.
I never tire of playing with the glass and light, and enjoy the process of learning new skills to do so. I think I love the reflections of the distorted designs more than the piece itself. The reflections never fail to reveal the textures and the bubbles that are trapped within the glass. My work is ever evolving as I find different ways of making a mark on its surface or changing its structure
