Tapestry Weaving Workshop with Debbie Rudolph

Debbie’s workshop is now fully booked.

Debbie’s workshop will be held in The Barn at Trelissick Garden on Thursday the 27th November from 10.30 am – 3.30 pm. During this creative workshop, you will have an introduction to Tapestry Weaving. You start by learning some of the core Tapestry weaving concepts. You will select from a range of coloured rug yarn.

You will learn how to:

Set up a little lap loom

Tabby stitch

Rya Stitch

Knotting techniques

Patterns and stripes

How to finish

Remove from the loom

You will produce a woven piece with the focus on techniques, pattern and colour. Looms are for the workshop and not included in the workshop price. A selection of looms and tools will be available to purchase.

Debbie weaves her textiles and sells them throughout the UK. She is a member of the Crafts Council and is committed to championing British craft. Debbie is a qualified Art and Textile teacher and has a Degree in Fashion and Textiles.

This workshop includes lunch in the Crofters Cafe.
