Working with silver, gold, precious and semi precious stones to create one off pieces, Leah Lewington has been designing and making jewellery for the last 15 years from a small workshop a few miles from Lands End.
Her work is influenced by the beauty there is to be found in nature and a lifelong love for stones of all kinds, from beach pebbles to diamonds. She works closely with clients to produce commissions ranging from wedding and engagement rings to reworking old treasured heirlooms into contemporary wearable pieces and also sells her work in galleries in Cornwall and The Isles Of Scilly.
She often begins by choosing a stone and letting the design grow around it, allowing it to dictate its setting in a way that best suits, sometimes simple, sometimes elaborate, producing a final piece that almost seems to make itself.
All her work is hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office and all pieces can be made to specific requirements.
